Within the line are some of the new Samsung Curved TVs, which were designed to enhance the sense of depth and draw the viewers in deeper from anywhere in the room while also giving them a wider field of view. With curved TVs, viewers effectively gets a wider viewing angle similar to the wide pictures you get in a movie theater, better contrast and it just looks cool sitting on the stand or on the wall.
The Samsung 8 Series smart TVs are all built for streaming the latest TV shows and movies, playing your favorite games, sharing photos, videos and music, and a cool social circle page that lets you interact with friends and family with apps like Facebook, Twitter, and make video calls through the Skype app. All models in the 8 Series comes with built in WiFi and a web browser that lets you search your favorite sites for entertainment, news, videos and more.

Like all of Samsung smart TVs, the 8 Series models comes with some other cool additional features and is very Eco friendly too. Thanks to the built in Eco sensor function which can be turned on and off, the Samsung 8 series smart LED TVs will automatically adjust the brightness of your smart TV by randomly dimming or brightening your smart TV according to what you are watching at the moment on your TV and the brightness of the room to reduce power consumption.
Another standout feature Samsung ConnectShare Movie feature that makes it easy to access and play movies directly from a USB connected camera, access media on an external hard drive, view your photos and other media stored on a flash drive, and much more.
A popular feature that Samsung introduced into some of their smart TV's is its' cloud gaming feature with Sony Playstation called Playstation Now. Playstation Now turns your TV into a gaming console, meaning that you do not need the gaming console to play your playstation games. All you need to do is pair your Playstation DualShock 4 Controller to your TV and enjoy all of your Playstation 3 games right on your TV.
It has a growing library of hundreds of Playstation 3 game releases and users can subscribe to get unlimited access to the games for $20 a month or $45 for 3 Months and for those who do not wish to subscribe can rent individual games as well - no console required. SUHD
Samsung's SUHD models were first introduced in 2015 and has some new improved features that does not appear in any other models. All of the 8 Series smart TV models are all SUHD TVs which allows the user to experience a more rich and wider spectrum of colors and with SUHD TV, you get 64x more detailed color expressions than 4K UHD. Nano-crystal Technology
In short, its is Samsung's version of Quantum Dots that they called Nano-crystal Technology which enhances picture quality by expanding how many colors appears on the screen, and how rich they look. Samsung uses the quantum dots to increase color gamuts but is a technology they refer to as Nano-crystals. Peak Illuminator
Introduced in Samsung's latest versions of UHD smart TV's and standard in all of their SUHD smart TVs, Peak Illuminator is their version of HDR or High Dynamic Range technology which is designed to enhance contrast and deliver higher brightness levels. Some models will have Peak Illuminator Ultimate while others will have Peak Illuminator Pro which differs in type of local dimming used.
